Odisha on Friday reported the highest single-day spike of 561 Covid-19 cases up to now 24 hours, the state authorities’s Information and Public Relations division knowledgeable.

These contemporary cases have been recorded throughout 20 districts, taking the whole quantity of coronavirus cases registered within the state to eight,106.

Ganjam reported the highest spike of 283 cases, adopted by Cuttack (81), Rayagada (76), Khurda (26), Bargarh (21), Balangir (19), Mayurbhanj (10), Sambalpur (8), six every in Jagatsinghpur and Keonjhar, Kalahandi (5), Koraput (4), three every in Dhenkanal, Sundargarh and Jajpur, two every in Kemdrapada and Jharsuguda and one every in Bhadrak and Puri.

Meanwhile, because of the steady surge in Covid-19 cases within the state, the state authorities on Thursday banned the entry of guests to Lok Seva Bhawan (State Secretariat), Kharavel Bhawan, Rajiv Bhawan, and Krushi Bhawan within the metropolis until July 31.

An official order on this regard was notified by the state dwelling division to all the extra chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and commissioner-cum-secretaries of the involved departments on Thursday.
